Dieppa Restrepo - F/W2010

DIEPPA RESTREPO Fall 2010 from Andrea Vargas Dieppa on Vimeo.

This short video directed by Rodrigo Madrazo provides a more artistic approach to the look-book. Following in the footsteps of Karl Lagerfeld and even Tom Ford, more and more designers are now leaning towards new mediums of expression to display their collections. Some more abstract, some more conventional it seems some designers have tired of shining a spotlight on an otherwise empty stage and have opted for telling stories in which their collections star as one of the protagonists. The power of seeing a collection in context seems to be proving a strong accompaniment to the traditional runway show, not to mention much more accessible... might we be moving in a direction that runway shows as we know them might become a thing of the past?

Watch this space for news on Seditionaire's upcoming project, WOMEN ON TOP, a multimedia collaboration with designers Dieppa Restrepo and Daryl K to be premiering at New York Fashion Week.
